Pregame Notes: Washington Capitals vs. Anaheim Ducks

The Caps look for 3 in a row as Bruce Bouderu and the Ducks are in town. Here is what te lineup should look like tonight.

Forwards:

Ovechkin-Backstrom-Johansson
Burakovsky-Kuznetsov-Brouwer
Laich-Fehr-Ward
Chimera-Beagle-Wilson

Defense and Goalies:

Orpik-Carlson
Alzner-Niskanen
Hillen-Green

Grubauer
Holtby

Other Notes:

*The Caps have recalled Philip Grubauer from the Hershey Bears as is slated tonight. It's not expected to be a long recall but with Justin Peters struggling coach Trotz is giving Grubi a chance.

*I'm not sure of the 4th line will be the way it was last night but I expect the top 2 lines to stay the same.

*The Ducks had an impressive win in Nashville last night. However it looks like Ryan Getzlaf will be out for tonight's game with an injury.

*Alex Ovechkin has been playing lights out and I expect him to try to impress hi former coach.

*The Caps have to play a heavy game against the Ducks and get traffic in front of the net. If they do that I think they matchup ok against this team.

*The Caps can't let the Ducks play with speed, need to clog up the neutral zone and force the Ducks to play dump and chase.

*Caps defense needs to protect Grubauer tonight. Make sure he sees the puck and I think he will have a good game.

*Gametime 7 p.m on CSN
