Pregame Notes: Washington Capitals at. Philadelphia Flyers

The Caps are back in action tonight after their solid 6-2 win in Toronto last night. With back to back games their was no morning skate but here are a few notes going into the first meeting of the season for these two bitter rivals.

Other Notes:

*Braden Holtby will indeed start yet again for Head Coach Barry Trotz. Justin Peters will be loaned to Hershey so that he can play a couple of games to get his legs back. That also means Phoenix Copley might get his first call up to back up Holtby this weekend.

*Alex Ovechkin is heating up and I'm sure he will look forward to seeing the loving Flyer fans once again.

*The Flyers have under achieved this season but they are never a team to take lightly. They still have plenty of talent and if the Caps don't out work them then they could be in trouble.

*No word yet but I would believe that Michael Latta will be back in the lineup tonight for toughness.

*With no morning skate the lines are not set in stone but I will update the lines when I find out during warmups.

*We will see if Evgeny Kuznetsov and Marcus Johansson can continue the chemistry they had last night. As that line was buzzing most of the game.

*Andre Burakovsky has played well on the top line, but not sure if he will play tonight because Coach Trotz might want toughness.

*Brooks Orpik seems to be fine after the injury scare in New York, and since then has been very good along side John Carlson.

*Gametime 7 p.m on CSN
