Pregame Notes: Washington Capitals at. Columbus Blue Jackets

The Caps are back in action tonight in Columbus against a Blue Jacket team who is without Sergei Bobrovsky. After a week off the Caps will have a tough stretch this week. Here is the lineup for tonight's game.

Forwards:

Ovechkin-Backstrom-Burakovsky
Johansson-Kuznetsov-Brouwer
Laich-Fehr-Ward
Chimera-Beagle-Wilson

Defense and Goalies:

Orpik-Carlson
Alzner-Niskanen
Hillen-Green

Holtby
Peters

Other Notes:

*With Nate Schmidt out with an injury they Caps have called up Cameron Schilling to be an extra defensemen.

*Braden Holtby will be back in net tonight after having a week off. The Caps will need him to play a ton down the stretch.

*Alex Ovechkin was on fire going into the All-Star break, we will see if he continues that or if the break affected him.

*The Caps have taken a lot of penalties in their most recent games. The PK has done well for the most part but still would be better if they can keep the game 5 on 5.

*Andre Burakovsky and Evgeny Kuznetsov will need to have an impact on the stretch run. They have played well but if they can play even better then it will help the Caps win more games.

*I think the Laich-Fehr-Ward line needs to set the tone right away tonight. We they are on top of their game the Caps win more times then not.

*Jay Beagle has been having a great season, he does so much for this team. I see him being a difference maker for the Caps as well.

*Gametime 7 p.m on CSN
