Postgame Recap: Ducks 2 Caps 0

Sunday night was the final game in what was a special regular season for the Caps. However, Barry Trotz elected to rest key players to gear up for the playoffs which starts this week. So, the game didn't have much action.

My Thoughts:

*Philipp Grubauer played a decent game but again didn't get any goal support.

*The Caps sat Alex Ovechkin, Brooks Orpik, Nick Backstrom, and John Carlson. As well as Braden Holtby and Jay Beagle. Beagle was injured in the win in St. Louis and is going to be day to day.

*Overall there is nothing to say about last nights game because very little happened as the Caps just wanted to get out of the regular season healthy.

*This regular season was a very special one, and it ended with Justin Williams playing his 1,000th career game. There was a ceremony before puck drop last night.

*So, thats it for the regular season, now the fun will start in just a few days. I will be back later today with my preview and schedule of the First Round matchup with the Philadelphia Flyers.

What's Next: Game 1 Thursday April 14th vs. Philadelphia Flyers 7:00 p.m on CSN
