Postgame Recap: Rangers 4 Caps 2 UPDATED HIGHLIGHTS

 The Caps didn't play their best game and fell behind and were unable to comeback. The loss means they will have to wait on the outcome of the Islanders/Blue Jackets to see if they start the playoffs in DC or if they start on Long Island. UPDATE: Blue Jackets beat the Islanders 5-4 in a Shootout, Caps will be the 2nd seed in the Metro Playoffs.

My Thoughts:

*Alex Ovechkin scored to finish the season with 53 goals and is the Rocket Richard winner for the fifth time in his career and the third year in a row.

*Stan Galiev scored his first career goal late in the game when the game was already decided. Still I have been very impressed with how he has played the two games he has been with the big club.

*The Caps had a bad start and the powerplays were 4 to 1 Rangers, and the no calls went went the Rangers players did things.

*It is clear at times that the Caps miss Eric Fehr and Jay Beagle, their defense and overall very good two way forwards have been out.

*Overall we will see what happens but it really doesn't matter for me where the series begins. It should be a good battle.
