The Caps look to end a three game home stand undefeated as they try to get revenge on the Flyers who beat the Caps in overtime last week. Here is the lineup for tonight's game.
Forwards:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Burakovsky
Johansson-Kuznetsov-Brouwer
Laich-Fehr-Ward
Chimera-Beagle-Wilson
Defense and Goalies:
Orpik-Carlson
Alzner-Niskanen
Hillen-Green
Holtby
Peters
Other Notes:
*Braden Holtby gets the call in net, while the Flyers will go with Rob Zepp as Steve Mason is hurt. Surprised because I expected Ray Emery.
*The Caps have to stay out of the penalty box tonight unless they bring a Flyer with them. Tom Wilson will need to be a physical presence.
*Jay Beagle has been great and he can be a difference on that 4th line.
*Alex Ovechkin is on a roll, and if he continues playing well the Caps will have a good chance to pick up two points.
*The Caps recalled Steve Olesky from Hershey following the injury to Nate Schmidt. No word on if Olesky will get a chance to play while called up, but Barry Trotz has liked how he has played this season.
*The Caps have to watch out for Claude Giroux and Jakob Vorecek, if they can keep them quiet then again the Caps have a chance.
*Gametime 8 p.m on NBCSN
