Caps round out draft by taking 3 Defensemen

The Caps finished the 2015 draft yesterday by trying to build their future defense corp. Here is a quick look at them.

2nd Round D Jonas Siegenthaler

The Caps traded up with the New York Rangers to take Siegenthaler in the 2nd Round. Siegenthaler spent the majority of last season playing in the Swiss league under former NHL bench boss Marc Crawford. He is described as a physical two way defensemen. (Siegenthaler on left)

5th Round D Connor Hobbs

Connor Hobbs was a member of the Regina Pats, the same team Caps prospect Chandler Stephenson played on.  Hobbs started the season with the Medicine Hat Tigers but got traded. From what I have heard is that his play declined after being trade. However, many people feel he is really a 2nd Round talent and that he will have a better season this season.

6th Round D Colby Williams

Williams was actual the defense partner of Connor Hobbs with the Regina Pats. Williams had 41 points in 64 games with the Pats last season. He is a little older so we will see where he ends up next season has I believe he will be unable to go back to Regina.
