Caps resign Jay Beagle

The Caps have resigned hard working bottom six forward Jay Beagle for 3 years and 1.75 million per year against the cap.

I really like that they kept Beags because he had a career year last year with 10 goals and 10 assists, which if he wasn't banged up for a few games he would have probably had more. However, he is a very valuable player when it comes to faceoffs, penalty kill, and fit the Barry Trotz style of hard working hockey. I am very happy about this resigning, now they will focus on Braden Holtby, and Evgeny Kuznetsov. It will be interesting to see what they do with Marcus Johansson.

*Another note as Hershey defensemen Patrick Wey has decided to retire because of concussion issues. Wey played a few games for the Caps, this is a good decision for him because of the head issues he has had. Best of luck on his future.
