The Caps have resigned goalie Philip Geubauer today to a two-year one-way contract. Grubauer spent most of last year with the Hershey Bears. His best moment was leading the Caps to a Game 2 win in the 1st Round against the Islanders.
What this means is Grubi will be Braden Holtby's backup next year. Justin Peters did not have a good season and Grubauer is ready to make the leap to the NHL. Free agency is a couple weeks away so more of these resigning a will come in.
