Game 4 Notes: Washington Capitals at. Philadelphia Flyers

The Caps and Flyers meet for Game 4 of the 2016 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, the Caps will have a chance to advance tonight with a win. Here is what the lineup should look like tonight as today the Caps had an optional morning skate.

Forwards:

Ovechkin-Backstrom-Oshie
Burakovsky-Kuznetsov-Williams
Chimera-Richards-Johansson
Winnik-Beagle-Wilson

Defense and Goalies:

Schmidt-Carlson
Alzner-Niskanen
Orlov-Chorney

Holtby
Grubauer

Other Notes:

*Brooks Orpik is day to day with a upper body injury and is out tonight. Taylor Chorney will get a chance to play tonight in his place. Chorney has had a great season and will get a chance to show Barry Trotz what he can do, he does have playoff experience with the Penguins last season.

*Braden Holtby had a scare at practice yesterday and left early. However, he was at the morning skate and Barry Trotz said he is good to go tonight. We will see if he can continue his dominance tonight.

*The Flyers however, are making a change in net tonight as we will see former Cap, and Hershey Bear Calder Cup Champion Michael Neuvirth tonight. Steve Mason has not been great and so with their season on the line Dave Hakstol is making a change.

*I also expect the Flyers lines to look different tonight as well. For a team that has only scored 2 goals in 3 games I'm sure they will try something different.

*One key tonight will be the Caps have to continue to dominate the special teams. If the Caps power play and PK can remain strong it will continue to put a ton of pressure on the Flyers.

*Another key will be protecting themselves, though I feel that the Flyers will be a little more careful tonight you still never know what will happen if or when the Caps have a lead tonight.

*Overall nothing more to say but the Caps need to come out and keep playing the the way they have been all series and they should be fine. I would like to see them play a strong game and just finish this series so that the guys that are banged up can rest. We will see what happens tonight.
