Derek Roy joins Caps for a Tryout
News has just come in that C Derek Roy will be with the Caps for a Professional Tryout. Roy, 32 y/o, in 72 games last season with the Nashville Predators and the Edmonton Oilers scored 12 goals and added 20 assists. This could be a possible answer to the third line center position and with Nick Backstrom recovering from hip surgery could add some depth. However, I think Roy will still have to have a good preseason to make the Caps roster.
