What's Next: the offseason. Not sure I will continue this next season, however I do want to say I am proud of how hard my team fought. I do think this is a special team, it just didn't happen this year.

Game 5 Recap: Caps 3 Pens 1 (Pitt leads series 3-2)
The Caps faced elimination on Saturday, but a inspired effort lead to a 3-1 win to push the series back to Pittsburgh for a Game 6.
My Thoughts:
*Caps came out really hard, and after they drew a penalty hit pay dirt as Alex Ovechkin scored his 5th goal of the playoffs with assist from Nick Backstrom and T.J Oshie.
*The Pens would tie it after a bad penalty by Nick Backstroke, Chris Kunitz scored his first of the playoffs to tie it for the Pens.
The Caps would get another power play in the 2nd and an Alex Ovechkin shot was stopped but T.J Oshie tipped in the rebound and the Caps would regain the lead 2-1. OV and Carlson with the assists.
*About 5 minutes later Justin Williams would intercept a clearing attempt and then beat Matt Murray to give the Caps a 3-1 lead.
*The Pens would try to make a push but Braden Holtby stood tall and the Caps would hold the lead to send the series back to Pittsburgh. Holtby had 30 saves of 31 shots.
*The Caps played with a lot of fire last night, if they continue to play like they did last night. They will at least have a chance.
*Biggest thing that happens now is that the Caps will get Brooks Orpik back for Game 6, the Pens may also get Ollie Matta back as well so we will see what happens.
*Overall this is now a series. The Caps clearly don't want their season to end but I expect the Pens to be fired up when they return to Pittsburgh. We will have a couple days to wait, but the Caps are still very much in this series.

Game 3 Recap: Pens 3 Caps 2 (Pitt leads series 2-1)
The Caps made a big push last night after giving up the first 3 goals of Game 3, though the Caps would play their best game of the series thus far. They would fall just short.
My Thoughts:
*The Caps had 49 shots on net last night, but Matt Murray stopped 47 of them and was able to just hold on at the end. The outshot and outplayed the Pens in each period.
*Luck, the Pens got two goals that came on lucky bounces, especially the 2nd goal that went off their players back and past Holtby.
*Kris Letang threw a late head shot to Marcus Johansson in the first period. Its a hit that should warrant a suspension. Orpik got one, so Letang should as well. If he doesn't then it would prove that the league has a double standard when it comes to the Penguins because of their captain. Personally I think he will get suspended but for maybe only a game because Jojo was not injured bad enough.
*Alex Ovechkin scored his 4th goal of the playoffs on a rocket of a wrist shot to cut the lead to 3-1, assists came from Matt Niskanen and Nick Backstrom
*Justin Williams finally got on the board with his first of the playoffs from Alex Ovechkin and John Carlson to make it 3-2 with just under a minute left in the game.
*The Caps got some chances in the last minute but it was too little too late as the Pens barely hung on to take Game 3.
*Overall the Caps played very well, and now they look like they are playing with more desperation. They may have lost the game but I think if they continue to play the way they did last night then they will have a very good chance of winning Game 4. As it is now must win time for the Caps.
